Her wedding trousseau is going to be designed by friend Manish Malhotra who is working hard on her dress. Manish Malhotra who desgined her engagement saree, which was a pink with red border saree with gold embellishment said, "Can’t reveal much about the wedding trousseau, it is going to be a surprise as Shilpa does want to make a statement with her wedding. Since gold is her favourite colour, I will be experimenting with gold and traditional hues from the Bunt community- mainly white and red."

When is the wedding going to take place

Marriage is going to take place in Mumbai itself but the famous couple is facing a problem on getting a venue as all venues have been booked for the December marriage season. A source close to Shilpa says “Shilpa wants to get married in Mumbai itself as its her place and everybody can be a part of her marriage. Obviously her sister too, who is recently in Bigg Boss house will be free by then. Shilpa has got engaged but she will marry Raj once her sister comes out of Bigg Boss house. I guess it ends in December first week. So most probably the marriage date will be fixed sometime in December only. But the couple will soon shift to an exotic South American location for a cosy honeymoon.”

Fans will welcome in any avatar that Salman Khan chooses

In the beginning of their careers, many actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn or even a Sunny Deol, were typecast as action heroes. In time, they revealed their ability to slip into other roles as well. For instance, Devgn always known to be a brooding intense actor, has actually proved that he has a fantastic sense of timing where comedy is concerned. ’All The Best’ and the Golmaal series are a testimony to that.

Salman Khan , on the other hand, began his career with a sensitive, love story and then went on to do some action and comic films which have gone down well with audiences, who have now grown to love him in those avatars. The stupendous success of his last film ’Wanted’ and the earlier ’Partner’ have really brought the fact home that the actor’s fans really love to watch him either clowning around or bashing up the baddies.

Salman is believed to be feeling that he has been typecast by his audience which only wants him to see him in these two genres and has even confessed so in certain media reports. His comment obviously directed at the manner in which ’Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna’ bombed. While there is no taking away from the success of a ’Wanted’ or a ’Partner’, the fact remains that both these films were well made and executed by their directors, Prabhudeva and David Dhawan, respectively.

The fact of the matter is also that a Prem Soni could not do justice to his debut venture, ’Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna’. One would like to argue that where Salman is concerned, his choice of films, unlike most of his contemporaries, has not always been the wisest. He has ended up doing a lot more mediocre movies, due to various reasons, than them and that is probably why a ’Wanted’ and a ’Partner’ stand out and probably give him that feeling.

He has another movie coming up for release , Vipul Shah’s ’London Dreams’. It will see him in another avatar and it will be great to see how the audiences take to Salman in this avatar. Incidentally, besides ’Partner’ and ’Wanted’, audiences have also loved Salman in ’Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ’Baghbaan’. It is great that Salman feels the need to explore different genres and grow as an actor. Rest assured, if the film is well made, his fans will welcome in any avatar that he chooses to don.

Anil Kapoor 'Aisha' Movie is now on a break

The unit of Anil Kapoor Productions’ ’Aisha’, which was being shot in Delhi for the last two months, is now on a break. The unit has just wrapped up the film’s two month long Delhi schedule and is back in Mumbai.

The film’s leading stars are Sonam Kapoor , Abhay Deol, Arunoday Singh and Ira Dubey and is directed by Rajshree Ojha. The next schedule of the film will take place in Mumbai, where it will first be shot on actual outdoor locations before moving indoors.

The film is said to be based on the English novel, Emma. Abhay, who stepped into the film as a favour to Anil Kapoor, is also believed to have reduced his remuneration for the movie to help his producer.

If a Sonam Kapoor can be relevant today after two flops, then im sure Amisha Patel would have attained superstar status if those films released today. I really feel that Ammesha Patel is very underrated.

Amitabh Bachchan to surrender in front of Ringmaster

The unthinkable has happened. The living legend of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, has been made to kneel down. And this has happened for a key sequence in ALADIN where the man, who plays the role of ‘Genius - The Genie’, is required to touch Sanjay Dutt’s feet.

Says a source attached to the feel, “An important part of the film’s narrative requires the character played by Amitabh Bachchan to surrender in front of Ringmaster, which is played by Sanjay Dutt. Though this was always a part of the script, there was all an around apprehension around the shooting of this scene. Sujoy and others feared how exactly would millions of Amitabh Bachchan fans accept this scene. For Sanjay Dutt too it was challenging since Amitabh Bachchan is too big a name to be kneeling down.”

However, what everyone completely understood was the potential of the scene and how it contributed to the dramatic quotient. The film does convey the message of good’s win over evil and a scene like this only heightens the impact of the final result. Moreover, to make matters easy, Amitabh Bachchan was game for the scene and didn’t hesitate in going by the director’s vision.

“That’s the beauty of working with Mr. Bachchan”, says Sujoy, “He lets himself be driven as wanted by the director. We were a bunch of kids wondering how to approach Sir to do this scene and there he was game to do whatever that went well with the character. He has always stated that once he is committed to a project, he doesn’t protest on anything. This is why we could can such a crucial scene without any hindrance. It is indeed one of the highlights of the film.”

Mahie Gill made her mark in Bollywood

Punjabi actress Mahie Gill, who made her mark in Bollywood as Paro in Anurag Kashyap’s “Dev D”, is on a high as her kitty is full of prestigious projects. However, the actress maintains that the road to success was not that easy.

“It is very difficult to create a place for yourself in the industry. I struggled my way through it. By chance Anurag saw me in a party and I got ‘Dev D’; otherwise things wouldn’t have shaped this way,” Mahie told IANS here.

Talking about her days of struggle, she said: “When you dress up every morning, go for auditions and at the end of the day you don’t get work, you feel bad. Sometimes you feel that you are better than the other person, still you don’t get work. That’s when you feel very frustrated. But one needs to be patient.”

The actress was in the capital to attend the 11th Osian’s-Cinefan Film Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema. Her next release is Tigmanshu Dhulia’s “Paan Singh Tomar”. She teams up with Irrfan Khan in the film, which is scheduled for release in February next year.

Talking about “Paan Singh Tomar”, Mahie said: In this film, I am playing Paan Singh Tomar’s wife. He was an athlete who later became a dacoit. His wife is still alive. She is very old now. I am playing a woman who is very talkative and short tempered.” The actress had to darken her complexion for the role.

When asked about the experience of working with an actor like Irrfan, the 33-year-old said: “It was great working with Irrfan. He is such a wonderful actor.”

As far as her future projects are concerned, she has signed two films to be made by Abhinav Kashyap. She is also doing Arbaaz Khan Productions’ “Dabang” and a Saurabh Shukla film, which is tentatively titled “Bhaang”.

Mahie has also signed a film with Naseeruddin Shah called “Surmai Shaam”. It will be helmed by debutant director Bhramanand Singh. Then there is action film “Gulaab Gang” that also stars Tabu and Raveena Tandon.

After completing her masters in theatre, Mahie got her first break with Punjabi film “Havaayen” and then did couple of more like “Mitti Wajaan Maardi” and “Chakk De Phatte”.

Asked if she would like to return to theatre, the actress said: “I really want to do theatre. Right now I don’t get the time to do that, but some day I will definitely do it. I will be meeting Naseeruddin Shah very soon; so maybe one day I happen to do theatre with him.”

Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn selling tickets for London Dreams

Marketing is the new buzzword in tinseltown and the biggest and best are waking up to the worth of a good promotion strategy. Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn are no exceptions, it seems, and the duo will now be seen behind the counter, selling tickets for their upcoming London Dreams.

From the outset, director Vipul Shah had an extensive strategy in place but things didn’t quite go as planned. The team had planned to have a series of London Dreams concerts across the country, but that was put in jeopardy after concerns over the frenzy it would cause among fans, and the lack of suitable venues. The series had to be cancelled, said Intech Image company managing director S. Chakravarty, after they realised the gravity of the situation.

As an alternative, Vipul was keen to have a novel initiative. So now Ajay and Salman will sell tickets to customers at Delhi multiplexes. The makers were still a bit wary about security issues but have plumped for this initiative since it allows the stars to be sat in a closed room, manned by security while still close enough to fans across the window.

Sources tell us it’s a publicity gimmick many producers are looking to follow. With stars sat at counters there are bound to be crowds coming in. The fact that it directly influences ticket sales makes it an effective strategy.

Sari-clad cheerleaders will perform for first time in cricket match

Sari-clad cheerleaders will perform for the first time during the day and night one-day international cricket match between India and Sri Lanka Dec 21 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

The cheerleaders will wear Sambalpuri saris -- the oldest form of the tie-and-dye handwoven textile -- and perform whenever a boundary is hit or a wicket falls, Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Ashirbad Behera told IANS.

’At least 15 Oriya girls between 18 and 20 would be selected for the purpose. They will be placed in three different parts of the stadium,’ he said.

’The girls will not wear short skirts as has been done in many other places because it would be against our culture and tradition. Our audience will not accept it. They will have modest traditional attire. They will be dressed as per our tradition and culture.’

OCA has already placed an order to buy the saris from a state cooperative body, Behera added.

Music from superhit Oriya films or albums would be played in the background when the girls perform, he said.

OCA had thought of introducing similarly-clad cheerleaders during the day-night ODI between India and England Nov 26 last year, but it cancelled the plan saying that it did not have adequate time to organise it.

Cricket first saw cheerleaders when business tycoon Vijay Mallya’s IPL (Indian Premier League) team took the field in Twenty20 IPL championship last year.

The latest match will be the 16th day-night international to be played in Barabati, some 26 km from the state capital here. OCA has already begun preparations.

Behera said the stadium authorities are increasing the seating capacity from 35,000 to 45,000.

’For the first time, we are also creating an air-conditioned corporate box where at least 800 people can be accommodated,’ he said.

The players, match referees and officials would stay at hotel Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar. ’We have already booked the hotel,’ he said.

Behera said a reception committee has been formed to look after all arrangements. The committee will soon meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and seek his help to provide adequate security for the match, he said.

Shamita Shetty breaks the rules

Usually Monday mornings is never pleasant for any one, especially for the Bigg Boss housemates, as it’s time again for nominations along with the weekly task. The nomination process begins and what’s left to see is which two housemates get the maximum votes to be eliminated this week.

Later we will see one of the most important rules of the house being broken, again. We are all aware that speaking English is a strict no no. But for the second time, Shamita Shetty breaks this rule and Bigg Boss decides to punish her again.

As a punishment, Bigg Boss asks Shamita to be the voice for Rohit, if he wants to talk to any of the housemates, he will have to explain it to Shamita in sign language which she will have to interpret. Bigg Boss also tells her that if she fails in this, she will be sentenced to jail time.Subsequently, Bigg Boss calls Bakhtiyaar in the confession room and assigns the weekly task titled Happy to Help.

As a part of the task, five housemates at a time will have to make gift hampers for children.In the evening, the housemates are busy with the task assigned to them. The first five housemates to take up the task are Vindu, Raju, Shamita, Claudia and Poonam. Thereafter Raju tries to cheer Rohit and as usual gets all the housemates in splits with his funny acts.

With this another day comes to an end at the Bigg Boss house. But what remains to be seen is whether the housemates are able to successfully complete the task this time, too.

Sush will be the first guest on the show talks to Ravi

we are talking about Ex- Miss World Sushmita Sen who will be soon seen in NDTV Imagine’s new show Raaz Pechle Janam Ka which is hosted by Ravi Kishan. The promos for the same are on air.

“Sush will be the first guest on the show as she talks about her pechle janam to Ravi. The shooting of the same will start on 28 of this month, ” chirps the source.

Elaborating on the format, our source adds, “A therapist, Dr Trupti Jain, will take all the celebrity participants back to their past life and help them resolve a problem in their present life, which is believed to be due to one’s deeds in their past lifetime. Jain has trained under the famous Dr Newton from Hyderabad who is an ace in past life regression.”

Rekha, who has time and again refused to make an appearance on television, has once again turned down an offer by saying, "I have had enough controversies in my life. I don’t want anything from my past life to be made public."

During the meeting that took place at Rekha’s Bandstand residence, the producers tried their best to convince the actress but she did not relent. She was quite apprehensive when she learnt that her previous life will become an open book.

“The show will go on air in November midweek or last week, the date and time slot is yet to be finalised, ” quips our source.

The show will see many celebrities as participants. “Not only celebs from different fields but common people will be also participating in this unique reality show. The details are already aired on the channel, ” concludes the source.

Filmmaker Priyadarshan is ready to sign a 100Cr-deal

Filmmaker Priyadarshan finds no ends for his elatedness. Perhaps, his only frustration was all about films like ‘Eklavya’ getting nominated for Oscars. But, he’s keen on making a best film that will revive the scenarios of Indian Cinema. And now, the auteur jumping on joy as a renowned international production house is ready to sign a 100Cr-deal with him. Priyadarshan’s writer Kamalesh Pandey has confirmed the news saying, “This will be a groundbreaking flick of its kind.

Earlier, Shekar Kapoor was supposed to direct the film and he stepped away from this offer with accordance to his involvement in other projects. Now, Priyan has centered his focus on scripting the film with leading Bollywood actors in lead roles.”

Nonetheless, Kamalesh doesn’t want to reveal the list of actors involved in the project as they’re still in pipelines. But accordingly, Priyan is occupied with more projects including the post production works of ’De Dana Dan’ and upcoming AIDS based film with Aamir Khan and Tabu in lead roles.

Salman Khan’s cricket match cancelled for his Fans

He might have had half a dozen flops in the last two years but that has made no difference to Salman Khan’s fan following.

The actor still manages to garner a huge crowd wherever he goes. On Sunday afternoon, Salman was scheduled to play a cricket match at the Nehru stadium in Indore but the event had to be cancelled as he was mobbed by an unruly crowd.

On seeing Salman, the crowd went berserk and landed up on the playground thereby causing a security threat .

Salman was whisked away by the organisers and bodyguards. A few people were also injured and the match had to be cancelled.

Salman has now decided that in future he would only do concerts and stage shows but no ground events.

Sunny Deol patched up with Shah Rukh Khan after 16 years

Lately, Shah Rukh Khan might have had serious issues with several people from the film industry but the first actor who he had an ego clash with was Sunny Deol way back in 1993. Now, the two actors have patched up 16 years after they had a huge fight during the making of Yash Chopra’s Darr. They finally buried the hatchet during a party on Saturday night and the man responsible for the patch up was host Subhash Ghai.

A source present at the party said, “Shah Rukh had come in earlier in the evening and he was sitting in one of the private sections at the party venue with Karan Johar and his other friends. Sunny Deol was accompanied by director Neeraj Pathak, who he was chatting with, when Ghai suddenly went up to the reticent actor and took him to the private section. Ghai headed straight to Shah Rukh and reintroduced the two warring actors.

SRK and Sunny shook hands and gradually warmed up to each other and were later seen chatting animatedly with lyricist Prasoon Joshi.”

Commenting on the SRK-Sunny animosity, the source added, “Sunny was probably the first one among the long list of people that Shah Rukh has had a problem with over the years. Sunny had such a big issue that after Darr he completely stopped speaking to Shah Rukh and Yash Chopra . The two actors have buried the hatchet after so many years.”

According to the source, Sunny left the party early and when the clock struck midnight, SRK’s friends gathered around him to celebrate his and Gauri’s wedding anniversary, which was yesterday.

Bollywood is abuzz with the news Thursday that Shilpa Shetty is finally getting engaged to beau Raj Kundra coming Saturday, October 24.

Her publicist confirmed the news, saying Shilpa’s engagement will be a private affair, only for family.

The wedding will be in December in Mumbai, with a reception in London., he has been quoted as saying.

Katrina Kaif feels pretty comfortable working with Ranbir

Now when the cracks have started to appeear between Deepika-Ranbir’s love masion, we are going to tell the reason behind it. It’s Ranbir’s Ajab-Ghazab co-star Katrina Kaif who is making Deepika Padukone one insecure lass, at least that is what Deepika thinks.

Apparantly after working in two films Ranbir and Kat get along like house on fire. Katrina has been heard saying that she feels pretty comfortable working with Ranbir. She even has her own take on their sizzling ‘chemistry’.

She said that their great chemistry is an outcome of people who have the same vision. But giving the relationship a twist, Ranbir revealed that Katrina bullied him while he complimented her and all this ’friendly’ talk hasn’t gone down too well with Madam D.

In a recent TV interview, Deepika had candidly admitted to feeling insecure about her relationship when rumours about her beau’s fondness for Kat were doing the rounds.

But lately Bollywood has been abuzz with the rumours of Deepika’s special fondness for her, Farhan Akhtar and she believes these rumours are being floated by none other tha Katrina, who had dropped in for a visit on the set the day they were shooting for an intimate scene.

Deepika also feels that Katrina is behind recent reports of her fight with Ranbir.

According to a source, Katrina was present at Shabina Khan’s party where it was very visible that Ranbir and Deepika had a tiff. It was such a small group, and they were all friends, so it has to be Kat who spread the news.

But the people close to Kaif main that the she doesn’t meddle in any other actress’ affairs.

Late pop legend Michael Jackson’s three children want to be film stars in the future rather than follow in their father’s footsteps and start music careers.

The King of Pop’s brother Jermaine Jackson revealed that the three youngsters Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, are keen to work on movies when they are older rather than work on a music career, reports contactmusic.

“I think they are going to go into the film business,” said Jermaine.

Harishchandrachi Factory India’s official entry for the 82nd Academy Awards

In yet another testament of UTV’s HARISHCHANDRACHI FACTORY is now India’s official entry for the 82nd Academy Awards. The film has been co-produced with Paprika Media and Mayasabha Production. UTV has recently kicked off its campaign for the Academy Awards, which will include a targeted and aggressive media burst and extensive screenings in Los Angeles in October and November.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures said “Over the years, movies that have received recognition by the Academy have been those with unusual themes and uplifting stories of the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversity. With a tight running time of a little over 90 mins, HCF has the ability to reach out to international audiences in a grammar of film-making they are conversant with. We will go all out to ensure that it gets the best chance possible to do India proud.”

Plans are now afoot to give HARISHCHANDRACHI FACTORY (HCF) the same platform and to ensure that it gets the opportunity it deserves to attain global recognition. Paprika Media, which has a range of custom-publishing platforms, has been keeping a close eye on the Indian film scene in the pages of its Time Out magazines in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Harishchandrachi factory held out so much promise, Paprika Media decided to cross over from being an observer to an active participant. HCF, written and directed by Paresh Mokashi, is a delightful account of the incredible journey undertaken by Dadasaheb Phalke to make India’s very first motion picture, Raja Harishchandra.

According to Paresh Mokashi, writer-director, Harishchandrachi Factory, “What better than to have one’s debut film about the making of India’s debut film. My search for the subject of my film was over when I first read the adventures of Dadasaheb Phalke in trying to make his first film. It was a story that was full of hope, inspired awe and optimism, and I’ve tried to bring these elements alive in the film. Selection to Oscars is a very sweet surprise and now I’m hoping for the best. And I’m really glad to have the support of UTV and Paprika Media in this venture”

UTV will also be entering the film for the Golden Globes and BAFTA awards this year.

Ranbir Kapoor has donned eight different looks in Ajab Prem

Remember the nine different looks Sanjeev Kumar donned for Naya Din Nayi Raat. Our current generation heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is set to do something similar in Tips Films Ajab Prem KI Ghazab Kahani. The movie is already getting great response from audience after the promo has hit the theatres and TV.

A unit source revealed, “Ranbir has donned eight different looks in the film. He impersonates as the pathanwala, halwaiwala, a corporate officer etc. He has even donned the Charlie Chaplin look in the film.”

Shyamli has styled Ranbir’s costume and look in Ajab Prem . “When Shyamli met Santoshi, he clearly told her that he wanted her to make Ranbir’s character appear very real. He did not want anything that would look over the top on screen. Shyamli worked hard on Ranbir’s eight different looks. In fact it has turned out to be exceptionally good on screen,” said our source.

Everyone in the Bollywood fraternity is hoping high with this film and the young pairing of Ranbir and Katrina is being loved by audience.

Ajay Devgn pranks again, and this time he pranks on his co-star Katrina Kaif. Ajay Devgn took Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee into confidence and pulled a joke on his leading lady Katrina Kaif, on the sets of Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti,

Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee told the Katrina Kaif. that it was Nana Patekar’s birthday and they said that since he was in a bad mood, Katrina ought to wish him and present him with a gift box. Katrina Kaif. Does not know that the cake box actually contained some funny items like old underwere etc.

Katrina Kaif hurriedly dressed up in a salwar-kameez and walked up to Nana Patekar with a box given by Ajay Devgn. When Nana Patekar opened the box he was shocked to find old underwear, a single chappal and a fake moustache as a gift. Katrina Kaif was horrified.

A source close to Katrina Kaif adds, "She was embarrassed and turned beet red. Everyone including Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee started laughing hysterically. Nana Patekar finally told her it was a prank and that she should be more careful with Ajay Devgn from now on."

This prank was Ajay Devgn ’s brain child and he took everyone on the sets in confidence.

Rakhi made everyone pray in a hip-hop style to the towel Ganpati

The kids arrived with their celebrity parents dressed for the occasion in cute nightdresses. Rakhi had arranged for a super spread that included French fries, French toast, strawberry milkshake and Chinese noodles.

The item girl amused the kids by making an elephant out of a towel, something she learnt during her housekeeping job. She then made everyone pray in a hip-hop style to the towel Ganpati. The kids then played musical chairs and learnt to make different objects with clay. On their demand, Rakhi also did a small jig for them. Elesh added to the fun by jumping all over the house pretending to be a monkey; he also started off a pillow fight with the kids.

RGV’s unusual casting of actors for Raktha Charitra

Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charitra’ is getting surpassed ever than we expected it to be. The unorthodox filmmaker of Indian Cinema has been roped in the unusual casting of actors under the same roof for this bilingual film.

The biopic of Parithala Ravi will bring Vivek Oberoi and South Indian actor Surya together in lead role while veteran ace actors like Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar and Ranjeet have now signed in for the project.

Closer sources have revealed Ram Gopal Varma had vividly involved himself in the research works on this flick for past couple of years. Indeed, he was prone to the speculative stake of meeting the real life characters pertaining to Parithala Ravi and personally interviewed his rival Suri… The film’s shooting has recently hit the floors in Hyderabad and will be completed by January.

When asked about the unusual star-casting and non-involvement of local actors in Telugu version, Ramu said, “I think Vivek Oberoi and Surya have well-suited the intense characterization of protagonists and hence opted for them for all the versions…”

One can look forward to see Ajay in the shades of ‘Company’, for his character here is said to be based on Mumbai don Haji Mastan. Most of the movie’s shooting shot in South Mumbai as that depicts a lot from the 70’s and 80’s with its colonial styled buildings, according to the director.

Completion of 3 Idiots has just occurred and the perfectionist Khan has already started worrying about the audiences’ reaction. The movie is due for Christmas release and nervous Aamir Khan confesses to his nerves in his blog.

“The last one week has been very busy with ‘3 Idiots’ work. The final song is done and now the cut is locked too. I think we have managed to make the film that we set out to.” Aamir is quoted as saying, “As you can well imagine the good old butterflies have begun to spread their wings once again and their feathery touch has started to tickle my insides. I’m tempted to try and snuff them out with smoke...but I won’t. I think this time I have quit for good.”

In fact, Aamir was also nervous when he walked the ramp for the first time at the recently held HDIL couture week for his good friend Salman Khan. “I was extremely nervous because I have never done it before. I am not used to doing all this. This is not my world,” he told the press. He was even nervous while rehearsing for the show and was thinking about how the audience would react.

Nevertheless, nervous or not nervous, Aamir knows how to wow his fans.

Sushmita have been mostly outside the country shooting for her films

She had no release in 2008 and this year both her movies -- Karma, Confessions and Holi and Do Knot Disturb -- turned out to be duds. But former beauty queen-turned-actress Sushmita Sen claims she is a very busy person.

"I am basically a very busy person. I am just the sort of person who is constantly delving into different things and wetting my palms to see what all interests me and I have been mostly outside the country shooting for my films," Sushmita told IANS.

"I have also been keeping busy with the dubs and promotions of my films. I have also been working around my other companies so that I could have a very fulfilling year," she added.

Her future film projects include Dulha Mil Gaya and No Problem.

Costumes play a very important role in any Bollywood movie and a lot of detailing and attention is always given to the costumes used in these movies. Such is the case in Balki’s next ’Paa’ as well.

A major portion of the movie shows Abhishek wearing a white kurta pyjama, mainly because Abhishek Bachchan is playing the role of a politician. "Abhishek plays a young forward thinking politician who follows in the footsteps of his father; played by Paresh Rawal" explains Balki.

In fact to ensure that the clothes worn by the young actor were spotless; Balki even ordered 10 sets of the same kurta pyjama to be made! However the irony here is that in the remaining 10% of the movie Abhishek has over thirty costume changes!

Bachchan junior however doesn’t seem to mind the limited wardrobe he has in the movie, "It was a welcome change to not have so many different costumes. And most importantly it was the requirement of the film", he said.

’Paa’ is a sensitive story about the relationship between a father and son who is suffering from Progeria. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan.

Shah Rukh will be conferred with a Black Belt Honorary in Taekwondo

After receiving laurels from governments of foreign nations, Shah Rukh Khan will now be the recipient of a special honour, conferred by the Korean government.

Delegates from the Korean government have landed in New Delhi last evening and are scheduled to fly down to Mumbai on Thursday morning. Shah Rukh, touched by the gesture, has agreed to be present at the ceremony to accept the honour.

Shah Rukh’s close friend reveals, “These developments took place a couple of weeks ago. Shah Rukh will be conferred with a Black Belt Honorary in Taekwondo.

Not only that, he will also be the ambassador of the Korean Culture and Tourism. SRK is mighty excited at this and feels modest that he is going to be the recipient of such a prestigious honour.”

Designer Manish Malhotra has been planning to direct his debut venture for quite some time now. The latest buzz is that he is planning to cast Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Karan Johar will produce the film and it will go on the floors by the middle of next year.

When contacted, the hotshot designer said: “Yes I am going to direct a film for Dharma Productions and it is going to be a commercial venture. It is a very emotional subject and I don’t want anyone else to direct the film. Nothing else has been planned as yet. There’s still time to decided the cast and crew as it will go on the floors next year.”

For now, Manish is busy with a number of high-profile design assignments for films. “I have Shankar’s Robot which is an extravagant film. It has a tribal look and it’s a fun film. Then there’s Sohail Khan’s Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Anthony D’Souza’s Blue,” said Manish.

Rohit Shetty has making male centric films most of his recent ventures

Director Rohit Shetty has of late been known for making male centric comic films, and most of his recent ventures, especially GOLMAAL and GOLMAAL RETURNS had heroines in relatively smaller roles. The charge that he is partial to his male actors and that his films are known mainly for them as that they get the best dialogues, best scope for performance etc has been labeled frequently against him. So what is his take on this?

The director clarifies and comes out strongly in self defense saying that although GOLMAAL was male oriented yet it had Rimi Sen in a very important role and even GOLMAAL RETURNS had Kareena Kapoor essaying an equally important part.

He added that his heroines do get the scope to perform and they are not just mere props or simply used in dance sequences. Their characters are very much in keeping with the demand of the script and specially in ALL THE BEST, both the heroines, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse, have strong roles and after seeing the film no one will be able say that his heroines don’t make a difference to the film.

Aamir Khan was nervous before his ramp debut for Salman Khan's Being Human

He is in showbiz for more than two decades, yet Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was nervous before his ramp debut for Salman Khan’s "Being Human" show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week. He said he wanted to go back home.

"I was extremely nervous because I have never done it before. I am not used to doing all this. This is not my world. But I did it just for my friend Salman and to support the cause," Aamir told reporters Tuesday after the show.

"When I was rehearsing, the show area was empty still I was nervous. I thought that when I’m nervous now, what will happen when I will walk the ramp in front of the audiences. And I thought I should go back home," he added.

Before starting the walk, the actor stood on the ramp for a second, looked around, smiled at everyone, took a deep breath and very shyly started walking maintaining eye-contact with the audience and acknowledging their cheers.

Despite his nervousness, he charmed everyone with his boyish looks and cute smile.

Once he got over the initial inhibitions, Aamir entertained people by dancing with the kids who had initially done a small jig at the beginning of the show.

Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan , Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan too walked the ramp.

Other than Aamir, Ajay Devgn too made his ramp debut and he was also very scared before walking down the ramp.

Actress Amisha Patel, who was there to support the cause, told IANS that the nervousness of these actors was very evident, as they had never walked the ramp before. But it was good to see them all come together for a good cause.

Another shy actor and Salman’s good friend Sunny Deol too was supposed to make his ramp debut.

"He was here but he is very shy. He didn’t know that he had to walk the ramp. As soon as I told him, he hid somewhere," said Salman jokingly.

"He was telling me behind the ramp that he would be there," he added.

Akshay Kumar has deadly stunts done in ‘Blue’

Akshay Kumar was part of ‘Bigg Boss’ last year when he shared the stage with ex-flame Shilpa Shetty to announce the winner. This time, he is taking a step further and will be entering the ‘Bigg Boss ’ house.

The actor will enter the locked house on Friday and will apparently spend half a day with the inmates. The Khiladi Kumar will mark his entry with ishtyle. According to sources, on Friday, “the actor will arrive on a chopper, provided by the Blue producers, Shree Ashtavinayak, and will drop into the house from the sky.”

Akshay also has a friend on the show, Vindoo Dara Singh who played his sidekick in the film Kambakkht Ishq. He will interact with the housemates and will talk about the deadly stunts he has done in ‘Blue’, because that’s the purpose of Akshay’s visit to the show - to promote the movie.

After coming out he will talk to the host and will reveal how he felt about being locked up and being under camera scrutiny. The episode will air this Saturday.

'The Blue Adventure', has replaced the majority of films

Ghajini girl to talk more in London Dreams

Asin’s second film London Dreams is all about a rock band. But the vivacious actress admits that she doesn’t know a thing about music. What she knows is that she is not here to make enemies and doesn’t want to add to all the gossip around her. Buzz18.com caught up with the Ghajini girl to talk more about London Dreams.

First of all how are you feeling now?

Oh my God! It was just a sinus infection. I was in the hospital for two days as a precaution. So much has been made of it…It’s just ridiculous.

London Dreams reunites Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn. What are your memories of watching Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam?

My earliest memories would be Salman Khan’s songs in that film. I was in school then. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was a great film. But we shouldn’t talk about that because then people will draw parallels. This one is a completely new film and it’s just a co-incidence that Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn are coming together after 10 years.

But in school were you a Saman fan or an Ajay fan?

Oh God, can I act as if I don’t have a tongue anymore? I guess I had watched more of Salman’s work. That’s because I loved all his songs.

Both actors are perceived to have contrasting working styles. How similar or different was your experience with both?

You know both Salman and Ajay are quite similar. Given their experience, they would hear out what Vipul had to say and effortlessly finish their shots. As personalities they may have opposite images - but their approaches aren’t too different. In fact while everyone knows about Salman’s fun side, Ajay is the real prankster and extremely chilled out on sets. Both are extremely comfortable with each other and to me they were like friendly seniors.

What are you doing with these two grown up men?

It’s basically about a band called London Dreams with four boys and one girl. I am the dancer of the group. While they handle the singing and instruments part of it.

Rakhi Sawant's mother evicted from Bigg Boss for badmouthing

Item girl Rakhi Sawant ’s mother Jaya has been badmouthing her female co-participants in "Bigg Boss" ever since she was evicted from the popular reality TV show.

"The girls didn’t behave well with me at all. They used to talk in English in front of me despite knowing that I don’t understand the language and then used to make fun of me and laugh at me, I didn’t like it at all, " Jaya, who was the first to make an exit from the third season of "Bigg Boss" Friday, told over telephone from Mumbai.

She was quick to point out two incidents when the women, especially Shamita Shetty, Tanaaz Currim, Poonam Dhillon and Aditi Govitrikar sniggered at her and disrespected her on the show, where she was locked up with 12 celebrity participants.

"Once I had to ask the audience to vote for me. So Vindu (Vindu Dara Singh) told me I should sit in front of the camera and ask for votes in Marathi. And when I did so, these girls just started laughing. Later, they said that it seemed like I was chanting - ’Bhaaji lelo, bhaaji lelo’ (Buy vegetables). That time I started crying, " Jaya said.

Jaya, who worked as a nurse earlier, says she specifically faced a problem with actress Tanaaz Currim.

"On one of the days when we were all having food, Tanaaz asked everyone if anyone wanted a chapati. I said ’I want two’. She gave me one and then when I went and asked her for another one, she shouted at me and asked me to go and sit at the dining table. She then gave the chapati to her husband (Bakhtiyaar Irani). I felt very hurt, " she mainained.

However, Jaya said the males in the "Bigg Boss " house were extremely sensitive to her needs and addressed her as "Mummy".

"Rohit (Verma) always helped me and spoke to me like a son and so did Vindu. They took care of all my needs. But the girls were too much, " she said and added that the women didn’t even leave warm water for her to take a bath.

She is also upset that she couldn’t completely achieve her aim behind participating in the show - convincing her daughter Rakhi to reconcile with her.

"I came on the show for Rakhi - so that she forgets all differences and comes back to me. I don’t even know why she stopped talking to me. But I will keep trying as long as I can. Rest, I can only wish the best for my daughter.

"I hope Jesus blesses her with whatever she needs in life, " she added.

Jaya was the only non-celebrity contestant on the show, where she didn’t fail to hold back her melodramatic ways. She shed tears, danced and sang, much to the amusement of the other house members.

Amitabh Bachchan has continued to re-invent himself in Aladin

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is such a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan that he revisited many of the megastar’s hit films, studied key scenes and dialogues and came up with his own take by presenting them in his forthcoming fantasy adventure "Aladin".

As a tribute, he wanted audiences to get a sneak peak into Amitabh’s past movies and incorporated those elements into the character of Genius - The Genie that would instantly find a connect with the audiences.

"As a fan of his work, you also want him to do something that you know would keep millions of his fans and followers worldwide happy. It’s a good mix and I really had fun putting it all together. As for the inspiration factor, it’s for the audiences to see once the film hits the screens. I would be keen to see how they catch on and then react to it," Ghosh told IANS.

Amitabh was Ghosh’s only choice when he conceptualised the character of Genius - The Genie for "Aladin". It is a known fact that Genie is set in contemporary times and the character is flashy, vibrant and not many were aware that Ghosh has extended his real life tribute to the actor on reel as well.

"When you have someone like Mr. Bachchan working with you, you naturally become a lot greedy. You want to talk to him about his work over the years, the way he approached his character and then also try to present him with a characterisation that he has never been seen in before," he said.

The director was always intrigued by the way the megastar has continued to re-invent himself over all these years.

No wonder one can already see Amitabh shaking a leg a la "Pag Ghunghroo Bandh" in "O re Saawariya" with his pink ’pagdi’ and trademark white ’kurta’ intact. His song "Tak dhina dhin" too has a "Jahan Teri Yeh Nazar Hai" flavour to it.

Moreover, there are also certain scenes in the film that are inspired by the Big B’s old movies.

A co-production of Sunil Lulla from Eros International and Sujoy Ghosh’s Boundscript, "Aladin" also stars Sanjay Dutt as Ringmaster, Riteish Deshmukh in the title role and debutant Jacqueline Fernandes as Jasmine.
